Williamsburg Radiation Therapy Center (WRTC) is fully equipped to offer the most current radiation therapy treatment protocols. The equipment parallels what is available at large academic institutions providing the ability to treat all types of cancers: This includes conventional external beam radiotherapy and more advanced services: prostate seed implants (brachytherapy ) three dimensional planning, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and Image Guided Radiation therapy (IGRT). The prostate seed implant program was developed in conjunction with Sentara Regional Medical Center and urology specialists and is available to men with prostate cancer.

The Center is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology. This accreditation is requested on a voluntary basis and involves a peer review process of the practice of Radiation Oncology. Subjected to a rigorous review of patient care standards, the Radiation Oncology Department has always received its accreditation without qualification and with the highest accolades, indicating that it provides high quality radiation oncology care.
